Tim and Tracy Russell of 7296 23 ½ Mile Road, Homer petitioned the board to have a fireworks display at their home at the aforementioned address on Saturday, June 20, 2009. The fireworks were to be displayed by Ken Graham/American Display Fireworks of 22110 L. Drive S., Homer. The proper application was filled out by Tracy Russell and turned in. The appropriate copies of permits from Mr. Graham were also obtained along with a certificate of Insurance with Eckford Township named on the coverage as well. Clerk, K. Hinkley, contacted our insurance carrier MCM Group and spoke to Kevin Decker who was satisfied with the certificate of insurance as provided. K. Hinkley also contacted the Homer Fire Dept. Chief Kurt Swope and asked if he had any concerns about the proposed fireworks display and he stated he had no concerns. Because of a previous conversation with Supervisor B. Rapp and because the Eckford Township Board would not be meeting again until after the aforementioned date that the fireworks were to be displayed. B. Rapp asked K. Hinkley to call each board member to get their approval/disapproval of the fireworks permit. K. Hinkley called the following Eckford Township Board members as the vote was as follows:

K. Hinkley called Tracy Russell and gave her a copy of the report. K. Hinkley also expressed to T. Russell that she contact her neighbors and let them know what they were doing as a courtesy.
